![]() With motives, the Devil has also brought purpose to this meaningless existence of story, and God knew that, yet created the Devil anyway. Simply, the Devil appeared in this existence to bring conflict, created by God, by the story. Unlike story, unlike God, the Devil has motives. To speak about the opposite of God, is to speak of the Devil. Has no beginning nor end, nor has a sense of knowing what is coming. Something that does not create nor destroy. The nemesis of God, of any story for that matter, is of course the opposite. What conflicts with a story in this existence? What is the opposite of a God that creates and destroys simultaneously by knowing and experiencing everything all at once? But this God exists here to create and destroy simultaneously.īut every story has conflict questions at the beginning that desire to be answered through a finite journey of experiences and concludes with an idea. A true God would not favour, would not instil characteristics of godliness into creations because then there would be meaning, there would be purpose. A true God, an omnipotent and omniscient God, would create and knowingly destroy, for such a God would experience a creation’s beginning and end. A true God cannot feel anything, could not feel anything. Yet pleasure is not what dictates the actions of a God. Something with such immense power can do whatever pleases that something. You are in this existence, now, progressing through it by the words being said. ![]() Matter, space and time all mixed together into an existence you are currently experiencing.īut are you, experiencing? Listening to words spoken in an order you can comprehend while sensing your surroundings outside of your domain? Can you be in your existence while also trying to comprehend this one? Is the reality you take for granted not just a function of understanding by a network of neurons, to which its holistic processing ability is unknown to you? It is the opposite of abstract, built upon conditions of the past. A life so explained, so meticulously structured somehow both independently and collectively. What would you term such a thing? A dreamlike trance that cannot be forecasted? Perhaps it has been foreshadowed with your knowledge, as the listener outside of this existence, living a life in your own universe outside of this one. This, whatever this is, this narration of existence governs what springs out of nothingness. You experience, nothing, no sense of brightness corresponding to blinding transcendence, not even darkness, for that would require a state of absence in which, at least at this point, has not yet been spoken of. You orient to your left, right, up, down, but there is no such thing as direction. This is odd, right? Can stories start without a beginning? Can there be existence without circumstance? Trillions upon googleplex years go by, almost instantaneously, merely because even time does not exist. Humans, cells, molecules, atoms, matter, space, does not exist. Here’s the setup: We begin at a point of existence where, in fact, nothing exists. I’m going to discuss a frequently used expression that, whether you are religious or not, prompts a sense of sinful terror to describe simply ethereal happenstance. But stayed tuned for more information on this awesome… thing, whatever it ends up being! As always, I will hold another draw on my 40th episode for… something. You can always leave a small review as well, and follow on Instagram, that’s where I will be posting all of my updates, as well as on my personal website: /metaphorigins. I tried running the example command line graphics programs in /vc/opt but they wouldn't work, complaining that it can't access the vchiq. run.sh will run it as a headless instance, giving me a bash shell into a virtual Pi. The two scripts in this repo get the job done reliably./install.sh willl download QEMU, a Raspbian distro, and all of the required deps. Fortunately the open source emulation tool QEMU is up to the task.įollowing the instructions here, I was able to download and run QEMU on my Mac. That means I need an emulator, not just an OS conatiner wrapper like Docker. The RaspberryPi is an ARM computer and most Macs (until a few months ago) are X86. The short version is: yes it can be done but it's useless for graphics. As part of that I wanted to emulate a Raspberry Pi on my Mac. I recommend running option 1 (Expand Filesystem) and option 2 (Change Password) at a minimum - take a look under option 9 (Advanced Options) for additional modifications you might want as well.I've paused my work on Filament for a while to go back and do some more research into low level graphics for IdealOS. Wait a minute, then reconnect to the Raspberry Pi (the `ssh` command above) and run the final setup script: #SETTING UP RASPBERRY PI AS EMULATOR MAC SOFTWARE#`sudo shutdown -r now`Īt this point you've updated the software on the Pi and have restarted to let the updates take effect. `sudo apt-get upgrade` (Choose `Y` when prompted) 3. Run the following commands in the SSH session you just launched:ġ. #SETTING UP RASPBERRY PI AS EMULATOR MAC UPDATE#Now, you're ready to update the Raspberry Pi's software. #SETTING UP RASPBERRY PI AS EMULATOR MAC PASSWORD#`ssh this case, your username is `pi` - the default password is `raspberry`. To connect to your Raspberry Pi, type the following command at the terminal (replacing the IP address with the one you discovered in the previous step): ![]() One last step! We need to connect to the Raspberry Pi and complete the setup. Note - Again - be careful! Make sure you use the correct device name here! Using the wrong device name could delete everything on your computer. Received an error with that command? Drop the `r`, and use the `/dev/diskX` device instead. Including the `r` will make it write faster. Replace the device name with the disk number you used in the previous step, but replacing `/dev/diskX` with `/dev/rdiskX`. To determine the exact command you need, replace the file name after `if=` with the name of the image you extracted earlier. Run a command similar to this to write the image file to your SD card: `sudo dd bs=1m if=-raspbian-jessie-lite.img of=/dev/rdisk2` Change to the directory where you extracted the image file (`cd ~/Downloads` for your Downloads directory) 3. Once Raspbian is downloaded, it's time to write it to your SD card:ġ. Expand the file that you downloaded and make note of where you expanded it I recommend the "Lite" version for headless applications (like BrewPi), but use the version you are comfortable with. Download the version of Raspbian you prefer. Go to: in a web browser of your choice 2. If you select the wrong disk, you may end up damaging your computer. It is almost certainly not disk0 and is probably not disk1. Note - Be careful! Before you proceed, make sure the disk name you selected is correct. Unmount the disk by typing `diskutil unmountDisk /dev/disk2` (replacing disk2 with the disk identifier of your SD card) Review the list and find the SD card device name (Will be something similar to `/dev/disk2`) - Look for the device that is the size of the SD card you are using 3. Once you've launched the terminal, locate the device name & unmount the disk:ġ. ![]() Insert your SD card into a card reader attached to your computer (using a Micro SD adapter if necessary). #SETTING UP RASPBERRY PI AS EMULATOR MAC INSTALL#The first thing you need to do after collecting your materials is hook up your SD card and prepare to install the software. ![]() ![]() ![]()
